Hensel Electric, the market leader and a well known name in IP65 weather proof enclosures and insulated panel systems, has introduced a range of insulated industrial plugs – sockets and combination systems from Walther Werke, Germany trade – marked ‘CEETYP’ in accordance with the regulations of International Electrical standard IEC 60309 ½. The CEETYP product range comprises with plugs and sockets ranging from 16A to 125A, Norvo low voltage plugs and sockets, switched interlocked devices as well as combination units, which are available in wall mounted or portable as per customer requirements. All the products are available in 3-, 4- and 5-pin configuration and are easily inter-changeable with any different make of plugs and sockets as per the standard. Degree of protection is IP44 and IP67. They are non-metallic, anti-corrosive, dust and moisture proof. CEETYP products offer double safety as every terminals used inside the plugs-sockets are fitted with 2 screws. The contact screws are provided with universal heads and most importantly, the screws are captive and open for faster assembly. The material of construction for the housing is virgin thermoplastic material, Polyamide P6 as it has higher resistance to tracking at creeping distances and better resistance to chemicals. Polyamide is also a high quality self-extinguishing material, which is free from halogen and silica. The contacts are made of brass and all steel components such as screws and springs are zinc plated and blur chromed or nickel-plated. All CEETYP plugs and sockets are fully approved and have breaking capacity to withstand normal use and abuse.
