Hensel Electric India Private Limited offers Cable Junction Boxes made of Stainless Steel tested for intrinsic fire resistance up to 50 mm². These are ideally suitable for emergency power supply used for safety reasons in buildings with public traffic such as tunnels, airports, train stations, sports facilities, hospitals, malls, etc. In case of fire, one must ensure that functionality of the circuits is maintained over a defined period of time. Emergency lighting, lifts, smoke extractors, and alarms must remain operational for at least 30 or 90 minutes according to requirements so that people can leave the building and rescue forces can work. Conformity with IEC 60670-22 must be verified for cable junction boxes. For example, this includes environmental requirements – moisture, protection from dust and environmental temperature, corrosion and mechanical stress – as well as electrical testing conditions. In order to meet fire protection requirements, electrical installation systems must operate for 30 or 90. They must resist temperatures of up to 1000°C. Hensel has expanded its range of cable junction boxes tested for intrinsic fire resistance made from halogen-free duroplastic or steel sheet by adding a tunnel box made of stainless steel and a communication junction box. The stainless steel boxes are powder-coated in RAL 2003 Pastel Orange and meet degree of protection IP 65. Attachment occurs via external keyhole drillings, which facilitate wall mounting. The robust fire protection box is impact resistant in accordance with IK 10 and meets degree of protection IP 55. Screw anchors for concrete, lime sandstone, bricks and clinker are included in the scope of delivery. The communication junction box is powder-coated in RAL 2003 Pastel Orange just like the tunnel box.
