Stepper Motor Controllers For Grinders

Micromation specialises in the field of special stepper motor controllers for various grinding machines. Single to four axes, microprocessor based, Micropos series of controllers are specially designed for cylindrical, centreless, surface and ID grinding machines. Their features include: a facility of thumbwheels selection for different lengths like Air, Coarse and Find and Retraction and by rotary switches different feeds for the above distances can also be selected. Manual operation of different feeds is also possible. These controllers also feature auto dressing and automatic compensation of wheel slide. Two thumbwheels are provided for dress infeed and dress cycle number selection. Three displays clearly indicate current position of wheel and dress slide and the number of cycles completed. Standard Micropos offers 16 inputs and 16 outputs which can be further expanded up to 128 I/Os each/in process gauge sensing facility, which ensures better accuracy and reduced cycle time/number of strokes selection for different feeds in ID grinding.
