Stepless Speed Variator

New from RE, the mechanical infinitely variable speed drive with its unique roller design, without any belt or chain offers reliable power transmission for a wide range of industrial applications. It comes in 8 different sizes ranging from 0.25 to 60 HP. The minimum output speed is 1/7th of input speed and maximum output speed is 1.7 time the input speed, ie,total speed range available is 12:1. It transmits constant power and torque needed in the machine tool, chemical, paper, textile, plastics, sugar, cement, rubber, coveyors, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and fertilizers industries. It is a compact unit with an efficiency Of 92% throughout the total output speed range. It is a stepless, slipless, positive drive; C-phase or flange mounted vertically or inclined to another end. The illustration shows a horizontal variator with both shaft ends. Speed can be controlled with a standard handwheel or with a mechanical or electrical remote control or a process control. It can be used in flameproof areas. Also available are units for vertical mounting or with built-in gearboxes.
