Nexus mechanical speed variators are dry traction type, with friction rings made of high quality synthetics having considerable wear resistance and long service life. These variators have built-in torque compensators which adjust automatically as per the load. These variators are designed for plant wash-down conditions having special seals, epoxy paint and special breathers. The operation is smooth and noiseless. These are popular in pharmaceutical and food industries and effluent treatment plants. They are available from 0.37 kW to 2.2 kW, speed variation range of 15 and 1: 10 with dual speed motors and torques up to 5,300 Nm. The variators can be combined with any type of reduction units. Electrical remote control is available for speed change, manual speed change by a hand-wheel is standard. There is a built-in scale to indicate speed; the speed can also be regulated when the machine is idle. The variators can be mounted in every position. They can be used in all lines of industries, such as machine tools, wood working, plastic, food processing, pharmaceutical, beverages, conveyors, engineering, fibre and textile, chemical, packaging, construction machinery, agriculture machinery, etc.
