KD Cable Junction Boxes

The innovative range of modern installation and distribution board systems has made the company one of the market leaders in the tapping, fusing and distribution of electrical energy in the low voltage sector. The company recently launched an all-new “KD – Series” cable junction box for off-shore applications. These boxes are acid and salt-water proof having a degree of protection IP66/IP67 (temporary submersion up to 1 metre, 15 minutes). The range starts from 1.5 sq.mm cable size and are currently available up to 35 sq.mm, with or without the terminals. The colour of the enclosure is black, as per RAL 9011. Material of construction is PC5 – polycarbonate, and it is UV resistant and free of halogen and silica. The lid screws are made of high grade V4A stainless steel with quick fastening metric threads as it reduces the cover fixing time. KD – Series enclosures come with a very high impact resistance IK08 (5 Joules), which conform to IEC 50102. Also, the enclosures are flame retardant and self extinguishing. The burning behaviour of the material is as per IEC 60695-2-11, UL subject 94: 5V and the glow wire test 960 degrees corresponds to this standard.
