Creative Micro Systems offers Wireless Modem. The CS-MDM is a wireless modem (GPRS / CDMA) that provides connectivity for devices (traditionally communicating on a serial port) to communicate with a central server over GPRS / CDMA wireless networks. The device is typically used for remote data acquisition and/or remote device monitoring and control. The CS-MDM incorporates Power Monitoring, i.e. it monitors the input power and sends an SMS to pre-configured numbers whenever the power goes off or comes back on. It has an in-built Li-ion battery for this functionality. The CS-MDM has an in-built GPRS or CDMA modem (depending on order choice) for wireless connectivity. It is compliant to standard GPRS and CDMA specifications.
