Extrusion Plastometer

Zwick Extrusion Plastomer suits especially the demands of those customers, looking for a low cost, easy to operate, but nevertheless precise extrusion plastometer for laboratory, material input test, quality control, instruction etc. or a transportable spare instrument. The melt mass flow rate MFR determines the weight of material that is extruded within 10 min. through a die of specified length and diameter under temperature and load conditions specified in National and International Standards. The test temperature is entered via keys on the controller. The actual temperature and the desired temperature are permanently displayed. A thick-walled cylinder with an interchangeable test barrel as well as a well placed thermo- sensor guarantee fast melting of the specimen and high temperature precision. An effective insulation prevents the instrument surface from excessive temperatures.
