The System is based primarily on principles which have been in use in different variants for over 50 years. The principle being utilised by GRP is briefly summarised as under:
- Water is introduced in fuel-oil and a uniformily stable emulsion is produced.
- Emulsion so produced is fed into burner furnace whereat due to heat, water droplets get vaporised into superheated steam. The sudden expansion of water, ensures oil-droplets surrounding water-globules get atomised.
- This atomisation of fuel-droplets ensure that the combustion of oil is complete. This is essentially due to large combustion surface of oil made available by atomisation.
