Efforts in bringing about near-complete combustion, in boilers/ process furnaces, also bring effortlessly an altered pollution scenario when dealing with oil (FO/HFO/RFO/LSHS). EFF (Emulsified-Fuel-Firing) aims at injecting water into oil, to create stable water-globules. EFF ensures near-complete combustion, affecting NOx, SOx and SPM. The common impurities in fuel-oil like sludge, asphaltenes waxes and paraffins, have higher MP and hence precipitate out CC and water. Principle involved in EF is atomisation of water-call it moisture-in to oil-droplets. Emulsified water droplets contained in every atomised fuel droplet rapidly vaporise and expand in combustion chamber, shattering oil in to many smaller droplets for faster burning, result in lower particulate emission, in turn reduces NOx formation. Lower excess-air will affect SOx and NOx. A natural more compact flame increase gap between flame envelope and walls. EFF thus in totality assures oil-save and contains menace of pollution drastically. GRP-EFF accepts water up to 17% and allows emulsification of cheaper grades of acceptable HC, like fatty-acid-residue, etc.
