Wearresist Technology offers Portable Welders, Goweld. It is battery powered. It uses DC power from 2 (or 3) 12 V deep cycle batteries to weld steel or aluminium. It can also be used as a spool gun with the conventional welder set on constant voltage output. It accommodates 1 kg spool of solid (MIG/ MAG) or flux core self shielding (FCAW) wire from .023 to .045 dia. It welds material up to 1/2 " thick. Other products offered are: 1) Sinter hardfacing gas alloys 2) Tubular electrodes - 4-5 times higher deposition rate compared to extruded electrode with very low dilution. 3) Prime-cut - ideally suited to field maintenance and repair, uses only oxygen and a 12 V battery to quickly cut, pierce or gouge most metals, including cast iron and wear plate.
