Plunge Facing & Centring Machine

Microtech Machines offers tooled up, double ended Plunge type Facing and Centring Machines. The main features are hydraulically operated quill type head stock, which is driven by electric motor with change vee belt pulley set. The job is clamped in a self-centring vice operated by hydraulic motors. The heavy cast iron machine base, which is fully stress relieved, maintains spindle, clamping vice alignment to produce accurate jobs. Plunge facing and centring is done by a specially designed tool holder unit, which includes standard cutting insert\ tools and centre drill holding arrangement for ease of tool setting. The machine is controlled by a hydraulic power pack and PLC electrical control unit. Optional accessories include VFD spindle drive, centre drill inspection gauge, auto lubrication unit, chip conveyor, and special purpose tool units for boring, chamfering, end shaft turning, etc. The total machine power is 8.2 HP, and four models are available to cover job lengths ranging from 150 mm to 2000 mm. The plunge facing dia is 15 to 60 mm, centre drill size A2.5 (B1.6) to A6.3 (B5.0). Applications are centring, plunge facing, job end boring, turning chamfering operations; and useful to aerospace, agricultural equipments, air conditioning, automotive gears, electric motor, railway and many more industries.
