Microtech Machines offers hydraulic pull type Vertical Broaching Machine. Broaching is machining process in which a broach (tool) having multiple transverse cutting edges is pulled through a surface to remove metal by axial force. This process has a wide range of applications and several advantages over other machining processes such as rapid and efficient because of both roughing and finishing can be done in a single pass. Close tolerances, smooth surface finish and higher accuracies are added advantages. A twin hydraulic cylinder is assembled on top side of machine base to generate pull type tractive force to broach for accurate and high productive works. The broach is guided in guide bush, and held in automatic broach holder. The job is located in suitable work fixture. Broach stroke is adjusted by setting of the limit switch. The machine is supplied with: complete hydraulic control unit, and complete electric control panel and coolant system.Some of advantages are: lower work station height, higher accuracies, efficient and safe productivity. The machine is useful to the typical internal work like round hole, keyway, serrations, spline, involute gear, polygon, and other typical shapes. The machine is manufactured in 3-15 tonnes pulling capacity, and stroke range 600 to 2500 mm.
