Gear Tooth Chamfering & Rounding Machine

Cooper Gear Tooth Chamfering and Rounding Machine, Model GTC-200, is an outcome of continuous interaction with its customers. It has been designed as a competitive product to meet the specific need of the automobile industry. GTCR is suitable for chamfering as well as rounding of external and internal gears. The spindle is indexed by an AC servo meter through CNC for each tooth. This eliminates the necessity of index plate and mechanical indexing arrangement. Two cutter heads are mounted on the side of the bed for simultaneous chamfering of two flanks of the tooth. Each cutter is driven by a separate 1.5 kW AC motor with a stepless speed variation of 1200 to 5000 RPM. The Z axis is powered by AC servo motor for controlling rapid traverse speed and rapid return of work spindle slide with precise positioning. The machine is suited to use carbide tools with replaceable inserts. Quick cutter positioning for each type of workpiece is possible. Gantry type loading and unloading robot can be provided. Brief specifications are: maximum work-piece diameter = 200 mm; module = 1 to 4; and number of teeth = 1 to 100.
