With a solid experience of manufacture of gear hobbing machines with backup from world leader like Pfauter, Germany, PAL introduces a high speed CNC gear shaper, Model CS253. Nominal module is 5 mm, and nominal work diameter 250 mm. The cutter rotation speed is 4 RPM and table rotation speed, 8 RPM. Face width is 50 mm, stroke rate min/max is 180/1800 str/min, and the column inclination is maximum 8o. Salient feaures are: 3-axes CNC, viz, cutter rotary feed, workpiece rotary feed and radial feed; duplex worm/worm wheel for table and cutter; quick cutter clamping arrangement; hydrostatic spindle guide; automatic cutter retraction; and, user friendly dialogue programme.
