Facing & Centring Machines

Hariss Facing and Centring Machines are available in two versions, two- and four-headed machines. Two headed machines are suitable for shafts up to 60 mm dia and 600 mm length, and are available in two models. Model CF 330 is suitable for shafts up to 30 mm x 300 mm length and Model CF 660 suitable for shafts up to 60 x 600 mm length. Four headed machines are designed for sizes beyond the above and are tailor made to specific requirements. In two headed machines the job is held in the centre in the vice operated hydraulically through a foot switch or manually through a self-centring vice. The spindle heads move forward to do centring and facing operations simultaneously with a single composite tool in which the centre drill is held in the centre and facing is done by plunge cut with a single carbide insert. This is a specially designed tool for the purpose. The main spindle is of alloy steel duly case hardened and ground having hose taper ISO-40. It runs in precision taper roller bearings and is driven by an electric motor through V belts. The job is held in the centre in a hydraulic vice having one fixed jaw and the other moving with a hydraulic cylinder. It is operated through a foot switch or a self-centring vice which is operated manually for different jobs the vee type jaws are to be changed which are available at extra charges.
