Mechanical Press Brake With Pneumatic/Mechanical Clutch

Construction: all press brakes are fabricated from rolled steel plates of IS-226 grade. The frame is designed to take heavy loads. The table and beam are rated for very low deflection and finish machined after stress relieving. The top beam is connected to the driven shaft by steel cast rod and Pitman ball screw. The machine is suited for bending to size general purpose unalloyed, structural steel sheets up to 10 mm thickness, with high productivity. Drive system: the flywheel is mounted on heavy-duty anti-friction bearings, storing adequate energy required for over and above rated loads. The gears-pinions in the drive system are accurately manufactured from graded steel, mounted the shaft. Specially designed, powerful disc type clutch, which is easily accessible and simple to adjust, makes the machine extensively easy to operate, thereby reducing operator's fatigue. The clutch is highly efficient, requires low pressure to operate and is capable of picking up loads from standing start. The powerful brake is interlocked with clutch and acts fast to stop the ram within a very short period of the clutch release. Electrically controlled and air operated clutch and brake combined unit permits high frequency of operation and more flywheel energy for work. Wear on clutch and brake is automatically compensated and no adjustment is necessary. Surge tank, filter, regulator, air lubrication unit, pressure switch, etc., are incorporated. Pneumatic counter balancers are provided to counter the weight of slide and tooling, which help in taking up the bearing clearances and ease slide adjustment.
