P M & Co, manufacturers of automation equipment and motion control products, offers CNC engraving machines. The machines directly work on design output by standard CAD packages obviating the need to create job masters. These machines rid conventional engraving shops using manual pantographs of their requirement of job masters and their dependence on skilled labour, thus allowing the engraver to concentrate on developing his design art and boosting his productivity. The machine is best suited for 2D/2?/3D jobs and is also compatible with any PC graphic software generating HPGL, Cipher or Roland Files like Acad, CorelDraw, ArtCam, Enroute, Cimagrafi and EngraveLab. The machine is built around proprietory multiaxis embedded processor controls and has a pendant interface. It provides a working area of 150 mm x 150 mm to 750 mm x 750 mm. Other models with varying strokes for higher applications are also available. The Z stroke is 60 mm and the job admit is adjustable up to 200 mm. The spindle is belt driven with speed selection pulley sets. Spindle speed is 12,000 RPM at a power output of 200 W. The job holding table is machined with longitudnal/cross T-slots and coolant drain. These ruggedly constructed machines offer value for money over a wide spectrum of engraving applications. The machine is suitable for medium to light duty engraving on a variety of materials including stainless steel, OHNS, mild steel, brass, copper, aluminium, graphite, fibre, plastics, acrylic, etc. Applications include engraving of plastic labels, name plates, tags, badges, trophies, shields, gifts, cups, scrolls, salvers, fascia panels, switch plates, scales, handwheels, dials, rubber stereo dies, reliefs, spark erosion electrodes, dies, punches, special cams, transfer screws, etc.
