CNC drilling/perforation machines manufactured by Purshotamdas Madhavani & Co Pvt Ltd maintain stable registration of holes thereby increasing plant yield and end quality of the boards. The machine is built around a full gantry structure with the tool moving on all the three degrees of freedom, i e X-Y-Z. The twin head construction of the machine allows for registration to be done by the optics head and holes to be drilled at the registered position itself. The drilling spindles are high frequency or belt-driven spindles. The spindles are fitted with a collet to accept dia 3.175 mm to dia 6 mm standard shank carbide drill bits. The standard drilling areas of the machine are 450 mm x 600 mm. The Z-stroke of the machine is 75 mm with a unique semiautomatic tool load feature that allows for precise setting of the tool gauge. The settable parameters of the machine then ensure that the drill bits do not plough the job table. These machines can drill a stack of three boards with entry and backing material. The drill swarf is suctioned off through a concentrically mounted vacuum cup. These machines with a maximum drilling area of 1000 mm x 1000 mm designed around a full gantry configuration offer accuracy of better than 0.025 mm. These machines are suitable for drilling holes of dia 0.7 mm through dia 1.2 mm and can be applied for manufacturing of precise press punching tools and die sets other than drilling of PCBs. Non-standard configurations of these machines catering to special application can also be manufactured. These machines are ideal for manufacturers of double-sided PTH boards.
