Vertical Turning Centre

The Machine Tool Division of Premier Automobiles offers the vertical turning centre, VT 80. This has been introduced after a careful study of market requirement for turning jobs in the diameter range of O 350 mm to O 750 mm. Usefulness of the machine was further enhanced by incorporating `C' axis for the table and live tools turret. Typical application is of machining components like brake drums, flywheels, housings, crown gear blanks, etc. Optional features are: turret with arrangement for live tool for drilling and tapping; C-axis (with ring type encoder) with table clamping arrangement; and, 3-jaw self-centering hydraulic chuck.Brief specifications are as follows: swing dia - 800 mm; table dia - 630 mm; vertical traverse of cross rail (Z axis) - 800 mm; tool shank size - 32 x 32; spindle motor for table drive output - 22/26 kW at 1500 RPM; max load on table - 2000 kg; feed - 1-1000 mm/min; table speeds - 15-450 RPM; and rapid traverse rate - 10000 RPM.
