Centreless Grinder

Centreless Grinder, PMT-100, has a unique taper setting device like imported machines. The device saves unnecessary dressing of wheels to set job taper. The grinding wheel size and motor HP of PMT-100 is 14"x 4"x 5", 5.0 HP. Grinding wheel spindle bearings are phosphor bronze and taper bush bearings are adjustable. Thrust load is taken by an imported double acting ball thrust bearing. Control wheel spindle bearings are available in both version - antifriction bearing and bush bearing adjustable type. Wheel dressing is manual or hydraulic, capacity - ? 3 mm to ? 85 mm. The main spindle has Filmatic (hydrodynamic) bearings that ensure high accuracy in roundness obtained in heavy grinding. The electric circuit is so arranged that the grinding wheel starts rotating only when oil pressure in the bearings has reached the correct pressure, hence bearings and spindle are perfectly protected from damage. This prevents metal-to-metal contact. Both wheels have hydraulic dressing systems. Micro feeding is provided for fine feeding. The speed of the regulating wheel can be changed sleeplessly during rotation and the power transmission is done by belt drive.
