Creative Micro Systems offers RS-232 to Fibre-Optic Converter. The CS-IC-232-FO converts RS-232 to fiber and vice-versa. The CS-IC-232-FO data converters point-to-point transmission of simplex or duplex RS-232 data signals over one or two optical fibers. The CS-IC-232-FO data converters can send data error-free upto a distance of 2 Km and upto a maximum data rate of 100 kbps.
The converter is transparent to data encoding allowing for broad-range compatibility. Plug-and-play design ensures ease of installation requiring no electrical and optical adjustments. LEDs provided on the front panel for status monitoring.
