Creative Micro Systems offers IEC Protocol Converter. The CSMG-X-S4R1 is a versatile multi-protocol communication gateway with a wireless option (GPRS / CDMA) for communicating with a central SCADA system. It connects to various slave devices with support for various protocols like Modbus, IEC 870-5-101, IEC 870-5-103, IEC 870-5-104 or DNP3.0.
The slave devices to be monitored and/or controlled are connected to the CSMG-X-S4R1 over RS-232 or RS485. The following slave device types are supported

• Modbus slave devices (e.g. Modbus meters, RTUs)
• RP570 slave devices (e.g. RTU-211, RTU-232)
• IEC 870-5-103 slave devices (e.g. Relays)
• DNP 3.0 slave devices
• IEC 870-5-101 slave devices (e.g. RTUs)

In-built GPRS or CDMA modem (based on product order option) is provided for connecting the CSMG-X-S4R1 to the SCADA / Supervisory node apart from the standard LAN based access. The protocols used to communicate with the SCADA / Supervisory node are: IEC 870-5-101(RS232C, point-to-point), IEC 870-5-104 and DNP3.0(TCP/IP) over LAN or GPRS/CDMA/PSTN. The CSMG-X-S4R1 can be configured to respond to multiple SCADA / Supervisory nodes.
