Ceramic Filters For Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Foundry Applications

Doon Ceratronics's filters are perforatd ceramic filters for use in gray, ductile and malleable iron castings applications. With the proper application in the casting gating systems, these filters remove slag dross and other non-metalic inclusions from molten iron. Molten metal filtration shifts the emphasis in casting defects to prevention rather than detection later in casting application. Ductile iron requires hole diameters of 2 mm or more, while holes as small as 1.5 mm can be used for more efficient filteration in gray and malleable iron.
