Berlincourt Piezo D33 Test System

DCPL offers Berlincourt Piezo D33 Test System. The standard meter directly indicates the piezoelectric constant d33 in the range 20 to 1000x10-12 C/N. The polarity of the specimen is also indicated. The piezoelectric ceramic specimen being evaluated is inserted between two probes on the force head. Dynamic force is applied to the test specimen and to a standard specimen inside the force head. Piezoelectrically generated outputs from the test specimen and standard specimen are processed by logic circuitry and calibrated using standards provided. The standards provide a readout of the piezo d33 constant of the test specimen on the computer display. The Berlincourt meter should not be confused with the static method of evaluating piezoelectric specimens. The static method tends to yield erroneous readings because of ferroelectric nonlinearity and spurious pyroelectric effects.
