Plunger Pumps, High-Pressure

Kamat Pumpen India Pvt Ltd offers high-pressure Plunger Pumps. These are Crankshaft-driven plunger pumps for pressures ranging from 100 to more than 3000 bar. They cover most of the possible applications and nowadays are even starting to replace intensifiers at pressures higher than 3000 bar. These pumps are basically manufactured with three or five cylinders. If we look at higher pressures above 100 bar, plungers become more important than pistons. Mass-produced plunger pumps of small power inputs are not covered in detail. But in general, these small pumps are similar to bigger industrial pumps. The world of industrial plunger pumps starts at around 45 kW power input. In shipyards, the entire structure of a ship is cleaned inside and outside right down to the bare metal. Deteriorated concrete can be removed from the surface of buildings (<1500 bar) while derusting the reinforcement the reinforcement bars at the same time, without inducing vibrations into the building like jack hammers would do. The abrasives cut, not the water jet. This abrasive cutting process can be viewed as a real mechanical machining process.
