Hindustan Radiators and Heat Exchangers Pvt Ltd Jodhpur, India is pioneer in manufacturing recuperative-heat transfer equipment (recuperator). In cupola furnaces, the exhaust gases leave at a high temperature of 600° to 700°C. This results in substantial loss of heat and high fuel consumption. The hot flue gases from the cupola are drawn and fed into the recuperator consisting of a primary heat exchanger and a secondary heat exchanger. The hot flue gases pass through a bank of tubes of both primary and secondary heat exchangers and the cold blast air is heated from atmospheric temperature to about 300ºC at the outlet of secondary heat exchangers. The hot flue gases exhale out through a chimney by induced draft fan to the atmosphere at reduced temperature of 250°C to 300°C. Advantages: saving of fuel about 10% to 15%; the hot blast results better control of metal compositions; the oxidation losses are lowered; faster recovery to original metal temperature when shut down; by using multic
