A direct-drive rotary stage with extremely large aperture and high load capacity provides higher speed and accuracy than similarly sized worm-drive stages. Featuring smooth non-contact drive, the ALAR series from Aerotech eliminates the wear that is inherent in gear-drive stages. - The ALAR stages are designed for a wide range of precision rotary positioning applications including testing of single and multi-axis electro-optic sensors, missile seekers, antennas and inertial navigation devices.
- They are used in photonics, laser machining, defense, semiconductor wafer inspection and many other industries.
- The stages are available in five aperture sizes: 100, 150, 200, 250 and 325 mm, with axial load capacity up to 595 kg.
- Operating speed of 45-300 rpm is significantly higher than gear-drive stages of comparable size. This allows testing to be completed in less time.
- The stages can be configured as multi-axis gimbals.
- Models are available for vacuum testing to 10^-6 torr.
