Metal Belts

The Prolific offers Metal Belt. This is a belt made up of stainless steel metal and has unique properties resulting in superior and precision control, longevity and cost effectiveness. Features: high strength-to-weight ratio, low mass offers high acceleration and rapid deceleration, with minimal motor sizes; unique durability properties, can withstand exposure to extremes of temperature, hostile environments and vacuum; unlike links of a chain, metal belt requires no lubrication, reduces conveyor maintenance, improves reliability, and keeps the conveyor clean. Metal belt is virtually non-stretchable, made of hardened spring steels with a high modulus of elasticity, making it ideal in high performance applications for precision positioning. Smooth operation eliminates the chordal action often seen in other belt types and chain, resulting in precise translation of the control conveyor motion profile. Metal timing belt is accurate and repeatable, fabricated with a pitch accuracy of highly precision ±0.0005" (0.013 mm) station-to-station which is extremely valuable in designing indexing, positioning, or processing equipment. The precise construction of metal belt ensures smooth edges and tightly toleranced, stable dimension. With outstanding thermal and electrical conductivity, metal belts can transmit energy in the form of heat, cold, and electricity.
