Jet Towers for Changed Mindsets

Many people have strange mind sets. They are good at following the leader than accepting anything new. For example, when it comes to cooling towers they used to prefer conventional Fan & Fill type cooling towers of wooden type in comparison to any good economic alternatives earlier. Now, the required quality of wood is not available and revamping of this type of cooling tower is very costly and hence, they once again prefer RCC cooling towers in place of wooden ones. However, RCC cooling towers have their inherent problems. Once installed at one place, they are immobile and in many cases they stay like Taj Mahal and all other development over years need to be done keeping in mind the place of this cooling tower undisturbed. In India the entire plant layout changes in about a decade and it is a moot point whether one can afford a type of cooling tower whose dismantling cost will be high as it involves breaking RCC structure. Over the years the mindset is slowly changing and more people are accepting solutions like armec jet towers as these are modular in construction and made of better materials of construction like MS lined FRP structures, moulded FRP louvers, and glass filled nylon fasteners, and can be dismantled and shifted easily. In some sugar mills, the towers have been shifted to three to four locations in a decade due to need of the plant changes and are still working satisfactorily. This speaks of the durability of cooling tower technology.
