New from Vitramon, the Tip N" Ring capacitor, a component needed in any device requiring telephone line interface, has been reduced to a standard chip size component. The chip acts as a filter, allowing the AC ring signal pulse to pass while blocking DC battery voltage. The multilayer ceramic chips use an X7R dielectric and are available in standard EIA case sizes 1812, 1825, and 2225. Capacitance values include 0.22 mF, 0.47 mF, and 1.0 mF, depending on the size.
