on the highly popular and reliable V52-850 kW turbine, and incorporates the latest innovative technology. The turbine is available in
China and the key features include:
Excellent grid compliance
To make it even more effective, the V60-850 kW is designed for smooth grid integration. With our years of global experience in
integrating wind energy into electrical grids, we have developed one of the most advanced technical solutions on the market: the
Advanced Grid Option 2®, enabling low voltage ride-through. Simply put, it tolerates short-time voltage reductions caused by grid
faults, resumes power production almost instantly afterwards, and improves grid stability. That means power production is improved
and grid faults are dealt with effectively, improving the stability and predictability of your wind energy project.
Designed for extreme weather conditions
The V60-850 kW comes equipped with low-temperature features that ensure efficient and reliable energy output, even in extreme
conditions. These include a new internal heating system that ensures smooth operation and a state-of-the-art wind sensor with a
built-in heater that addresses problems caused by ice and snow. It all makes the V60-850 kW ideal for high-altitude areas where
extremes of temperature are frequent – even up to 2,500 meters above sea level. In fact, this turbine works well within an impressive
temperature range (-30°C to +35°C), increasing the turbine’s availability and productivity in areas with extreme temperatures.
Maximum power from cutting-edge blades
One of the key elements that make the V60-850 kW a more productive turbine is its newly-designed, 29-meter blades. The product of
our latest and most innovative technology, these blades feature a new structural design with an enhanced aerodynamic profile
delivering high lift and enabling a low cut-in wind speed and high cut-out wind speed. These features add up to a 20 per cent increase
in Annual Energy Production capture. In addition, the up-to-date structural design and use of innovative new material ensure the
V60-850 kW blades are a similar weight to their peers.
Ease of installation and operation
The V60-850 kW’s new weight-optimised tower design features magnetic components that are lighter and easier to install. The
V60-850 kW also benefits from a new anchor bolt foundation that makes the foundation lighter and easier to install than previous
designs. By using less steel, this new feature offers customers shorter construction time and lower costs. Both these features make
the V60-850kW easier to install - particularly in challenging terrain.
The V60-850 kW also has some innovative new features that make transport easier. A newly-designed blade mount makes it easier
than ever to safely transport three blades at one time – while using existing trucks and transportation equipment. You don’t need to
touch, lift or lash the blade directly – resulting in lower risk for damage and lower cost. In addition, our new tower transport tool eases
the loading and transportation of the tower sections. These innovative new tools are perfectly suited for low-risk transportation to
remote areas with challenging infrastructure.
