Graphite & Carbon Corporation offers Unbalanced Seals. The unbalanced seals are designed to handle liquids of varying contaminations including sluries, sludges, sewage, viscous or abrasive media etc. as these seals are self cleaning and non-clogging. These seals have a simple, compact design and are easy to install with practically no maintenance.
The GCC 201 Series are unbalanced type seals. The rotary unit utilises a standard seal face with a single spring and secondary seal ring. This single spring is stronger and sturdier then multi-spring construction.
Secondary Seal Rings are available in various forms such as 'O" Rings, 'V Rings, Square Rings. Wedge and in various elastomers such as viton. neoprene. silicon, Bunna-N. EPX Teflon, GFT, Grafoil. etc. The mating faces can be of high grade carbon, stellite, tungsten carbide, ceramic, etc. depending on the service conditions.
