Soma Specialities offers Sweeper, Trekstar-I. This is a suction power sweeper, powered by an engine to enable forward traction and achieve speeds of up to 4 km/hr for faster and more effective sweeping, the machine can cover up to 3400 sq.m/hr. The sweeping principle employs the "overthrow mechanism" which optimises the hopper capacity up to 75% of capacity compared to the "direct throw mechanism" which can only utilise up to 50% of total capacity of the hopper. Sweeping is done with the help of a side brush and main roller brush. The combination of side brush and main roller brush that makes a powerful suction turbine provides a thorough removal of dirt and fine dust in a single operation. The vacuum fan also helps to retain minute dust inside the machine hopper with the help of a paper filter thereby causing less pollution than an ordinary mechanical sweeper, which does not have a vacuum attachment to retain fine dust letting it out into the environment. The total sweeping width of the machine is 850 mm with side brush, which can be raised when not required. Waste hopper capacity is 40 Litres and it can be removed easily by sliding it out of the machine for garbage disposal. Ideal for indoor as well as outdoor sweeping applications in industries, cement factories, iron and steel plants, railway stations, parking lots, commercial complexes, residential premises, etc.
