These are used for transmitting electrical power generated from the solar panel to the charging units, battery bank change over systems, inverters, etc. The cables that are used to carry power from the charging units have to function effectively while remaining exposed to a wide range of severe environmental conditions. The size more widely used to transmitting power from the solar panel junction boxes to charging units are from 2.5 sq.mm to 16 sq.mm.
Properties: Resistance to oils, ozone, water absorption and severe environmental conditions; withstands 250°C for 5 seconds (max) in the event of short circuit; working life of more than 25 years; and constructed as per TUV-2PIG II69/07.2008 (standard for photovoltaic cables).
