Chemithon Venturi Scrubbers are excellent mechanical devices for concurrent removal of sub-micron particulates, acid mist and gaseous pollutants from process gases and atmospheric emissions. These units are designed to form a dense zone of fine liquid droplets to promote efficient capture of particulates by impaction/interception and absorption of gases. Chemithon Engineers Ltd (CEL) offers adjustable venturi devices with variable throat area to provide desired flexibility to handle fluctuating gas flow rates and process turn-downs, to maintain system pressure drop and efficiency for environmental compliance. The throat area can be adjusted to keep the pressure drop constant by varying the cross sectional area. The system can be a tailor-made unit in carbon steel, stainless steel or alloy steel with a wide range of duty conditions. Gas flow rates up to 10,000 Nm /h with dust/mist loading up to 5000 mg/Nm and pollutant gas concentration up to 2000 ppm can be handled with efficiency of >98% and pressure drop of 25-250 cm water column. These units will serve the needs of pharmaceutical, dye, chemical, petrochemical and allied process industries.
