Rolling Contact Ball Bearings, Cageless
Cageless-rolling contact ball bearings are high-precision, double-row, angular contact ball bearings, oriented for face-to-face contact ("X"), at a 16º angle (per DIN 628, part 5). In lieu of conventional cages, a third row of balls (non-load carrying) separates the load carrying balls. With a higher ball count, and free of the sliding friction from a cage, these bearings provide better accuracy, longer life and reduced noise and heat. Because of centrifugal forces, these are not intended for higher speed applications.
