R M Associates, based in Thane, offers a polyamide cages, the best possible retainer and guide for any rolling element in a bearing. The use has come into greater prominence because of flexible design, outstanding sliding properties, low specific weight, high elasticity and good damping properties. The glass fibre reinforced polymide PA 66 was declared suitable to withstand existing operating conditions. Thermo plastic fibre reinforced cage material is totally different from a plastic cage in its properties and characteristics, functional superiority over steel and brass. Cage pockets are precisely moulded (injection moulding) with no fatigue or wear observations and can withstand a steady rise in temperature up to 120?C. Features: excellent sliding property and wear resistance; run favourably in tilted conditions without any mechanical failure; can be used for very high speed without skidding because of its lower mass inertia and low weight; and absorption of moisture is zero, hence very less friction, no corrosion, and good damping properties are the additional advantage of this cages. These are available in single row, double row and angular contact bearings in standard sizes as per clients" requirements.
