Paper Covered Wire & Strips confirms to IS 13730-27, NEMA, MW31-C & 33-C specifications and as per customer specifications. Thermal class for Kraft paper covered shall be 90°C unimpregnated or 105°C impregnated or immersed in Oil and for Nomex paper covered it shall be 220°C. The thickness of covering and no. of paper layers can be varied to suit the specific requirement. For rectangular wires increase in width due to paper covering shall be equal to or less than the increase in thickness. Below tests are carried out as per the specified specifications to ensure consistent good quality, they are: Dimension check, Visual inspection for continuity, Adherence, Flexibility, Elongation, Spring back, Dielectric breakdown tests. The product shall be supplied on wooden or plastic spools as per requirement weighing 40 to 80 Kg. Electrical Grade Kraft paper, Nomex paper and some special papers are some types of papers used for paper insulation.
