High Tech Seals offers high tech Mechanical Seals, HTS-D-1001, suitable for a range of applications. These include the following features: Temperature – from Cryogenic to 260ºC; Pressure – below atmospheric to 200 psi; Speed – 4500 RPM; and Sizes – 3/8" to 6. The HTS-D-1001 Series seals are designed to handle clear liquids under normal PV conditions. The seals have a simple, compact design, are easy to install and practically need no maintenance. They incorporate robust construction for maximum durability and operational reliability. The HTS 1001 Series are unbalanced seals. The rotary unit is of compact design, consisting of multiple springs, dynamic secondary seal ring and seal face, all accommodated in a retainer. Multiple springs are used to avoid distortion at high speeds and ensure uniform pressure on heal faces under all operating conditions. Secondary seal kings are available in various forms such as `O' rings, square rings, wedge etc and in various elastomers such as viton, neoprene, silicon, Buna-N, EPT, Teflon, GFT, Grafoil, etc. The mating faces can be of high-grade carbon, stellite, tungsten carbide, ceramic, etc., depending on the service conditions.
