EMAG offers Laser Welding Machines is a high-tech manufacturing process without which transmission manufacture can no longer do. The joining of control gear and clutch body using the laser welding method forms the basis for a more compact and more efficient gearbox. Modern laser beam sources, combined with an optimised clamping technology, make for a welding process with little distortion and are a precondition for quiet, easy to switch gears. The EMAG LaserCell laser welding machine takes care of the press-fitting of the clutch body onto the control gear with a laser beam. The EMAG LaserCell is supplemented by different stages of expansion that allow for the generation of a machine specification to suit your particular requirements.

ELC 200H
The laser welding machine ELC 200 H is suitable for workpieces such as drive shafts, universal joint shafts, steering shafts and similar components. It allows for the use of lasers in applications that have previously been reserved for other welding processes, for example friction welding and magnet-arc welding. Here too, the advantages of the pick-up principle come to the fore: workpiece transport to and from the machining area is very simple, as the machine loads itself. The horizontal spindle and the NC tailstock allow for whole component families of different workpiece lengths to be machined with great flexibility; and resetting the machine for a different workpiece geometry is accomplished in next to now time.   

ELC 250 DUO
The ELC 250 DUO is a highly efficient laser welding system for transmission components and other rotation-symmetric workpieces. This includes transmission components in hardened steels and more complex components, such as differential casings in SG iron, which are paired with finish machined gears.
