Seam Engineers offers Seamflex Lr-6AP cable, formed by helically winding six flexible conductors within a six-point star extruded rubber separator. The conductors are interwined at the terminal so that each three wires form one side of the electrical circuit. This assembly is then enclosed in a flexible braid-reinforced hose cover of abrasion and oil-resistant rubber. The result of this innovative construction is unmatched cable flexibility. The conductor arrangement (alternate polarity) reduces reactance to a negligible amount, thus substantially increasing the welding current with the same applied voltage. Magnetic "kick" or current stresses are essentially eliminated in the LR-6AP design. Conductor fatigue is likewise eliminated resulting in practically no strand breakage under normal operating conditions. LR-6AP terminals are made from bar stock, which assures superior mechanical strength and metal consistency, which allows for the maintenance of exact dimensional tolerances. The LR-6AP is a quality, flexible cable that has been proven to be the best design for obtaining the lowest reactance and impedance. Due to the amount of exposure of the bare wire to water flowing throughout the cable, the LR-6AP is a thermally efficient cable.
