Okaya Power has launched a new Inverter Battery, SL 636 Red Tubular, in its DigiVerter series with extra large containers. These batteries come with a “paper less and hassle free†warranty of 36 months, out of which the first 30 months is free replacement while 31st to 36th week is on prorate basis. These batteries have capacity of 150 AH and are really long life batteries. One of the plus points of these batteries is that they come in extra large containers which contain 30% more electrolyte as compared to ordinary batteries. A very significant benefit being that when water in the battery goes below a certain level, the acid becomes more concentrated which can cause corrosion of the plates, thus reducing battery life. Thus, the extra large containers of Okaya batteries help increase the battery life besides reducing the need for frequent water topping and hence more peace of mind and longer life for the user. These batteries are made using HADI high pressure spine casting machines. This ensures there are no casting related defects. Another unique feature of these batteries is the use of resin treated gauntlet in the battery which ensures that the lead is retained for its full design life, thereby increasing battery life. The company has been awarded UL Certification, ISO – 9001: 2000 by Underwriters Laboratories Inc of USA for its Quality Systems and ISO 14001:2004 for Environmental Management system.
