Xtech Equipment offers Hydraulic Rock & Concrete Splitters. These provide a powerful and extremely cost effective alternative to other demolition techniques. Hydraulic splitting method eliminates shock waves, vibrations, dust and noise that conventional demolition techniques usually produce. Conventional demolition techniques destroy rock and concrete by using an external force. Hydraulic splitters were developed to do just this and work according to a safe and proven wedge principle. First of all, a hole is drilled to a specified diameter and depth using an ordinary rock drill. Then the wedge set is inserted into the hole with the wedge in a retracted position. The hydraulic pressure then forces the wedge between the two counter wedges, pressing them against the walls of the drilled holes. The effective splitting force of up to 365 tonnes or 3581 KN breaks concrete and rock from the inside, breaking thinner iron rods at the same time. Advantages: hydraulic rock and concrete splitters enable to work with precision that cannot be achieved when using conventional demolition method. The desired direction of the split and size of material to be removed can be determined beforehand. The splitting process does not affect the portion of the structure that ought to remain intact. Hydraulic concrete and rock splitters are extremely versatile, durable, easy to maintain and transport. It is the only equipments which can be effectively used in areas where blasting cannot be done. This work at a very high efficiency leading to high productivity, without any dust emission and very low fuel consumption as against pneumatic compressors.
