Star Paint & Oil Industries has recently obtained certificate from National Test House, Alipore, Kolkata for Star Heatex Aluminium Heat Resisting Paint up to 600°C as per IS specification number 13183-1991, Grade I. The specification was recently published by Indian Standard Institution, New Delhi and Star Paint is the first manufacturer to obtain certificate from various laboratories. Heatex paint is used for protection of blowers, boilers, burners, chimneys, driers, engines, exhausts, furnaces, gensets, heaters, incinerators, kilns, manifolds, mufflers, ovens, radiators, silencers, transformers, auto-claves, cooking-ranges, drier-racks, engine-heads, flare-stacks, head reactors, lab equipment, light-reflectors, oven-trays, solar-heaters, steam-pipes, steel-structures, studio-lights, tail-pipes, etc. This paint is reported not to crack or peel off at temp up to 600°C. The 72-year young company also manufactures industrial paints and enamels, insulating varnishes, chemical resisting paints, fire proof and fire retarding paints, etc.
