Intech Corporation's Power-Core gears are custom machined from high performance unitized blanks. A composite, 100% crystalline material is cast onto a metal core into which the bore, keyway, and set screw threads have been machined. The gear keyway as a set screw cut into the metal hub to capture the strength of the metal and provide a secure gear to shaft engagement. Self-coffecting adjustment is provided in instances of minor misalignment. The non-hygroscopic gear material is applicable in operations where frequent washdowns or hostile temperature and high moisture environments exist.
