Gaskets, Spiral Wound

BJ&P Engineers Pvt Ltd, an ISO 9001-2008 accredited company, offer a range of Spiral Wound Gaskets. These are constructed with concentric alternative plies of winding material and filler material wound together at specific pressure. The gaskets are the best in sealing by its construction itself and most reliable to seal HTHP steam (high temperature, high pressure), hydrocarbons and other critical service conditions. Excellent spring back property in assembly makes this type of gasket much reliable to seal the critical service conditions, and hence most widely used in refineries, petrochemicals, fertilizer and oil sectors. The gaskets are manufactured in accordance with ASME, BS, DIN and JIS standards. The company, formerly known as Bharath Joints & Packings, was established in the year 2003. It manufactures a complete range of industrial gaskets that meets international quality. The company has facilities to meet emergency shutdown requirements within 24 hours and rare materials like monel, inconel, titanium, nickel, hastalloy, etc.
Spiral wound gaskets are available in may types:

  • Spiral wound gaskets without rings – suitable for tongue and groove, male and female joints, recommended for high pressure valves and pumps, highly suitable for use where limited gaskets sealing width is available
  • Spiral wound gaskets with outside centering ring - helps locate the gasket concentrically in the flange, also gives additional radial strength to the gaskets, widely used in raised face flanges, van stone joints, lapped joints and in weld neck flanged joints
  • Spiral wound gasket with inner ring – gives high temperature and pressure resistance to gaskets in grooved flanges, mostly used in heat exchangers, pressure vessels, boilers pumps and man holes, etc.
  • Spiral wound gaskets with inner/outer rings – used in raised face flanges for high temperature, high pressure applications
  • “W” and “inverted W” type spiral wound gaskets – “W” forming increases the density and strength of the gaskets, also increases the resilience of the gaskets, most widely used in high-pressure valves and pumps.
