Abhitron India has introduced a state-of-the-art ATEX and CE certified Gas Sensor/Monitor with Transmitter, Model Active 2009. This comes with excellent features and performance in measuring concentration of toxic gases in (PPM), flammable (% in LEL) and oxygen contents. There is a wide choice of selection of flammable gases and vapours in the 0-100% LEL range. For toxic gases and oxygen, Active 2009 gives an extensive range of gas sensors that can be integrated in an intrinsically safe stainless steel certified sensor head. The instrument provides 4-20 mA output and may feature additional output modes by using optional cards that can provide 1-/3-relay or 2-open collector outputs. A RS485 interface can be plugged into the detector to provide a Modbus communication which allows the units to be interfaced with all of control panels. Active 2009 can be attached to PLC or process indicator without any problem. It uses industrial grade catalytic (pellistor) sensors employed for the flammable gas detection show excellent output linearity up to 100 % LEL. In violent atmosphere the pellistor sensors get seriously damaged, so for this infrared sensors are used which are poison free and grants a higher accuracy and a longer lifetime. Model Active 2009 WD, designed to meet with tougher industrial requirements, offers a 4-digit back-lit display and 5 mode status LEDs for the gas concentration reading. It has a special feature of non intrusive magnetic calibration for an accurate and easy calibration via Hall-effect switches, where it not necessary to open the instrument and declassify the area. The calibration of these detectors is done by a handheld calibration keypad or by Windows-based PC calibration software. These can be used with a wide range gases like ammonia acetic acid, acetylene, butane, carbon monoxide, ethylene, hydrogen, hydrogen sulphide, HCN, ISO butane, JP8, methane, nitric oxide, oxygen, toluene, etc. Applications are at refineries, tunnels and mines, laboratories, chemical plants, fuel loading stations, compressor stations, drilling platforms, LNG/LPG storage facilities, gas turbines, etc.
