Micropore offers self-cleaning Filters for continuous unattended filtration. Solid liquid separation in sugar and process industries was initially limited to very preliminary level of separation to basically removal of very large impurity particles. This filtration system is technologically advanced and meets the customers’ expectations, designed along with sugar technologists from the industry developed after actual user trials to arrive at the benefits of fine filtration. The system is installed on the discharge of the pump for online filtration and the contaminated liquid flows through these filters, in series. The dirt particles are retained on the outer surface of the filter media and the clear liquid flows through. As the retention of dirt increases on the media surface the pressure drop increases across the filter and at predetermined differential pressure the filter media approaches “dirty condition”. The system basically consists of multi element filters in series, which are specifically designed for the following parameters: flow rate, dirt load, level of separation required, viscosity of the fluid, fluid characteristics and pressure/temperature.
