RR Kabel manufactures world-class LV/MV cables with non-PVC/non FRLS insulation (HFFR, also known as ZHFR) and Unilay conductor. Firex-HFFR uses the revolutionary polymer HFFR as the insulation for the wire. HFFR stands for halogen free flame retardant (zero halogen flame retardant). It is a zero halogen compound, which completely replaces the hazardous PVC or FRLS insulation used in traditional electrical wires. Moreover, it replaces the traditional uniform bunch conductor with Unilay conductor. Unilay conductors have no loose strands, ensuring that there is no loss of current carrying capacity due to breakage of strands during stripping of insulation and installation of the cables.
